Reminder

While I ponder, weak and weary
What to stitch or what to spin,
I decide I'll just be cheery.
Fiber art is not a sin!

Summer may be starting to draw
to a close soon but we'll still
be stitching! And, as always,
ready to provide FREE lessons
to those who want to learn.

See you at Mocha Moment on

What Have You Missed?

Haven't been to an SnB gathering lately? You've missed some great fun...

In January we've heard Anne Walli from the Sexual Assault Recovery Recovery Program describe the program and how others might get involved. Call the 24 Hour Hotline: 866.666.4576 or the Rock County Main Office at 608.365.4097

We were presented a demonstration with information about acupuncture and oriental bodywork by Terrence Mason and Keva Bloom from Oriental Bodywork & Acupuncture Clinic . Both have had an extensive education and experience both in the US and China. They share techniques with us to alleviate and prevent repetative motion injuries and more. Contact them: 608.838.2452

The January Mystery Knit-Along is now completed and the 2nd KAL project will begin with the first "clues" at our gathering on January 31. The Mystery Crochet-Along is still in progress.

Start your needles and check your calendars for 2008 activities including the next Worldwide Knit in Public Day, the 2008 Farmer's Market, spring wool and alpaca shearing events, and even the next International Sox Wars!

KNIT AND CROCHET FASHION SHOW '07

Congratulations to everyone involved in our first SnB Knit & Crochet Fashion Show on Sunday, January 8 at the Hedberg Public Library, Janesville, WI! Over 80 guests watched our models on the runway as they presented locally hand-knit and crocheted items which included a time-retrospective of ponchos, beautiful sweaters demonstrating various techniques and styles, accessories, toys, shawls and more. Thanks to all those many stitchers, volunteers and local businesses who made this presentation possible - especially the library who hosted our event. If you would like to get involved in our 2008 show, please contact us!
